Is your attitude worth catching?

Attitudes are contagious, as are beliefs, moods, standards and values. In our relationship with others, so much more gets exchanged aside from words. I have always taken care when choosing the people I spend time with.
I like to feel peaceful. I find if I spend too much time with people who are not at peace, I can forget about the infinite supply of peace within me. When I spend time with people who complain about things that have happened to them, or worry about things that are yet to come, I remember that right now, this instant there is nothing to stop me feeling peace.
I love spending time with people who are kind. They show me new ways to be kind. I love spending time with people who respect others. They show me ways to express my appreciation. I love spending time with people who uplift me. Some people have a knack of always making me feel better than I did before I spent time with them. I love spending time with people who listen. I feel honoured when I’ve been heard.
Today I’m wondering if I want to spend time with myself. I spend a lot of time with myself and generally I enjoy it. I am kind. I show respect. I always feel good after spending time with myself. My well of peace seems to grow.
Step lightly – ask yourself if your attitude is worth catching.
